  14.        ›4mPostnews›24m provides a simple interactive interface for post­
  15.        ing news.  It prompts the user for the ›4mnewsgroup›24m if it  is
  16.        not  given  as  an  argument  (more  than one group can be
  17.        given, with  groups  separated  by  commas  but  no  white
  18.        space),  prompts for the article's subject, drops the user
  19.        into his choice of text editor with a  prototype  article,
  20.        checks  (when  the editor terminates) that the article has
  21.        been edited reasonably, and then posts it.

  23.        If the article has not been written out from  the  editor,
  24.        or  if  the  editing  instructions in the prototype do not
  25.        appear to have been followed, ›4mpostnews›24m gives  the  user  a
  26.        choice between abandoning the posting or re­editing it.

  28.        The ›1m-h›22m option specifies that a suitable header has already
  29.        been constructed and can be found in ›4mheaderfile›24m, in  which
  30.        case  ›4mpostnews›24m  bypasses  the initial prompting for header
  31.        contents.
